While I was living on Curaçao (which was from August last year until January this year), of course I took a lot of pictures. Especially at my internship – I got paid for it even ;) But in the free time I had at work, I also took pictures. Especially a lot of the dolphins at the Dolphin Academy, but also much of other creatures that were to be found there. I wanted to share some yet unseen shots I took. And this will probably not be the last time I do that ;) Enjoy!
I was looking through my Flickr account (link) and I realized it has already been almost 6 years since I started with photography! At first I just took pictures, but slowly I tried to figure out more about photography, and started using my mom’s SLR camera. With her permission, of course ;) In 2008 I got my own camera and it was official: I was in love with taking pictures. Still am ;) Here are some of my favorite “old” pictures I took in ’07 and ’08! I kind of feel like these are images I can never top!
In January last year I started another Project 365 (or in this case: 366). Taking a picture every day for a year, and this time I didn’t want to miss a single day. Well, I gotta tell you: that didn’t happen. I actually missed even more days than in 2011. When I moved to Curaçao I thought I would take even more pictures than usual, but somehow I don’t! At least not with my precious Canon 40D, I’m afraid to take it everywhere with me. Anyway, just like last year, I wanted to do a summary of the project: pick out my favorites of every month!
January: a trip to Berlin with school. Awesome city! February: a photography day with my mom in Amsterdam. March: making a book of inspiration as a school assignment. April: my nephew!
Since I’ve been living on Curaçao, I haven’t really blogged about nail polish much. Once, to be exact. Well, I don’t exactly have much nail polishes with me here, and I’m trying not to buy too much new ones. Since I did do a lot of blog posts about nail polish in the first half of 2012, I thought it would be nice to look back and make a collage of all the pictures. Enjoy!
Something I almost never do, is taking pictures of people. Okay, that is actually not true… I do it all the time at my internship. But that’s different! I almost never do it in my spare time. I guess I always think I’m no good at it, and that the people I shoot won’t be happy with the results. Despite of those fears, I would like to do photoshoots with people more often. So last week I went outside for a walk & a photoshoot with my friend Wendy. I got to be the model too, she took some pictures of me ;) Here are some of the results I’m actually quite happy with. |
