This was 2012
Wow, almost time for
2013 already! I know I’ve said it a hundred times before, but it’s still true:
time flies! Can’t believe how fast it goes sometimes. I’m sure you all can relate to that! As the new year is coming soon, I wanted to look back on the year I’ve had and do a little summary, in both words and pictures!
In
January I rang in the new year with good friends, went to Berlin for a few days to kick off my minor at school (learning about graphic design, art direction, photography!) & started in my Q&A a day diary.
February was a very busy, a very cold & a very snowy month. I had to do a lot of school work – which also involved taking a lot of pictures, went to Antwerp for a few days, did a day trip to Amsterdam with my mom to take pictures & decided I wanted to be healthier and change my diet.
In
March I stopped eating sugar, did a lot of fun school assignments (made an inspiration book and a
nail polish box) & I baked a cake (which failed terribly – too bad) for my 22nd birthday on the 20th.
In
April I was still eating much healthier, I discovered my love for baking things, I tried out HDR photography, celebrated Queen’s Day, sorted out my nail polishes and put on pink lipstick to celebrate my birthday with friends.
Around the house
Like I said
a few days ago, I love just walking around the house (
mostly outside though, our inside of the house isn’t that photogenic) and taking pictures of random little things that catch my eye. After I decided to do that more often, I only did it one more time. But I got some nice shots out of it, if I may say so myself :) The light was beautiful, and I found some nice spots to photograph. Here’s a selection :)
Zoals ik een paar dagen geleden al vertelde, ik vind het heerlijk om thuis rond te lopen en foto’s te maken van willekeurige dingetjes waar mijn oog op valt. Nadat ik had besloten dat ik het vaker wilde doen, heb ik het nog maar één keer gedaan. Maar ik heb wel wat mooie foto’s gemaakt, al zeg ik het zelf :) Het licht was prachtig en ik heb een paar fijne plekjes gevonden om te fotograferen. Hier is een selectie :)
Flashback: last year’s October
Bij gebrek aan nieuw fotomateriaal ga ik even een jaar terug in de tijd ;) Het leek me wel leuk om wat ‘lost & found’-foto’s uit oktober vorig jaar te posten!
Totally random, maar hopelijk wel leuk!

12 oktober: a few of my favorites things! M’n neefje, nagellak, favoriete armband & tijdschriften!
16 oktober: Ik hou van dit parfum! Echt m’n all-time favoriet!
Playa Kalki, part 1
Twee weken terug ben ik met drie huisgenootjes in de auto gestapt en zijn we naar één van de verste stranden (vanaf ons huis) op Curaçao geweest: het was iets meer dan een uur rijden. Het strand heette Playa Kalki en ligt
vlakbij het puntje van Curaçao (Westpunt). Wat een supermooi strand was dat! Niet erg groot, maar er waren gelukkig wel strandbedjes, een eettentje en toiletten. Ideaal voor een heerlijk dagje strand! Het weer was ook goed te doen, al was het wel wat afwisselend! Het was het ene moment súperwarm met heel veel zon, en daarna kwam een donkere lucht steeds dichterbij en heeft het zelfs even gedruppeld. Dat was een goed moment voor de lunch!
Ik heb voor dit tripje eens mijn camera uit de kast getrokken (of eigenlijk: uit mijn koffer), want als ik naar een prachtig strand ging, wilde ik toch wel heel graag foto’s maken! Hierbij het eerste deel met foto’s! Geniet mee!
