I think it’s always fun to discover new things about bloggers I follow! So with that in mind, I decided to list a few things you guys probably don’t know about me. I like making lists like these, I hope you like reading it ;)

  • When I have a little time on my hands, I like to watch tv shows. Lots of episodes of those tv shows, to be more specific. For example: in the past week I have watched 3 full seasons of The Big Bang Theory. In 3 days. (I admit, I’m obsessed with this particular show)
  • I am pretty much always, ALWAYS listening to music. You could say that the only time I don’t have my music on is when I’m sleeping. Or when I’m watching my tv shows ;)

  1. When I buy something, I never take the first item, it always has to be the third one (or the one that looks the best if the third doesn’t)
  2. I always need to have a bottle of water with me. Without it I’m suddenly super thirsty all the time.
  3. When I was younger I wanted to be a teacher. Or an archeologist.
  4. I play the piano. In fact, I love playing the piano. It makes me really happy. My favorite pieces to play are Moonlight Sonata and Für Elise, both by Beethoven.
  5. My secret dream is to be an amazing singer (like, Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston/Christina Aguilera good). I know it’s impossible, but a girl can dream, right?
  6. I didn’t get my ears pierced until I was sixteen.
  7. Energy drinks are my weakness. I absolutely have to steer clear of them, because once I have one, I can’t stop. Call me crazy, but I really like their taste.
  8. My biggest challenge is living in the moment. I’m usually way too caught up thinking about the past (“what if…”) or worrying about the future.
  9. The first thing I do in the morning is get my iPhone and check Facebook. I don’t even like Facebook that much, but somehow it’s very addictive.
  10. I’m neither a cat nor a dog person. In fact, I’m not such a big pet fan in general.
  11. I used to be afraid of opening umbrellas. Yes, you’ve read that right. I still dislike doing it very much, but at least I’m doing it and not letting someone do it for me.
  12. If you’d see my room it’s probably hard to believe, but I love organizing. Whether it’s stuff like clothes, books, nail polish, or digital things like pictures, documents or iPhone apps, I’ll organize it. By color, name, type… I love it.
  13. What I really don’t like about myself most of the time is my shyness. But there’s nothing wrong with being shy, right? And it’s something that’s a part of me. Maybe just being myself & accepting my shyness will actually help me overcome it a little bit… who knows?

Another year is coming to an end! As the 31st is approaching fast (tomorrow already, wow!), it’s the perfect time to look back on what I have loved in the 2012. Even though there is so much that I loved, I did manage to make a selection of my absolute faves!
Tv shows

In July I discovered a new tv show: Pretty Little Liars. Well, I’d heard of it, but I had never seen one episode. But wow, what an addictive show – all the mysteries and drama! It’s also a bit scary sometimes, I honestly have been afraid to go to sleep because I watched a few episodes (at night) while I was home alone. Once Upon A Time is a show I discovered quite recently, but I already saw the complete season 1. At first I was a little wary… I mean, a show about fairy tales? Won’t that ruin the way I always see them: perfect, happy & colorful stories? Well, they made it all so different and exciting and awesome that it has become one of my favorite shows.

Book

book_zpse71739a0 (1)This is the book I read during my 10-hour flight from Amsterdam to Curaçao. I read it from cover to cover and all I can say is: Wow, what a beautiful book. It made me cry a little (in public, which I hate). If I had been alone, it probably would’ve been a full blown tear-fest. I find it very hard to summarize the story well, but I’ll try. In short: it’s about a girl named Hazel, who is terminally ill. At a cancer support group she meets a very interesting character: a boy named Augustus, who changes her life – while she changes his.
